We've had a wonderful baby season with lots of beautiful cria. Once again, we were fortunate enough to breed 100% grey and black even with over half our breedings done with our champion fawn, Salvador Cloud. He has proved himself a color machine, but beyond that, his cria are exhibiting super silky fleece with incredible luster. Come visit us and see for yourself.
And if you've ever wondered how we come up with our cria names, we have a very democratic system! Mike names the boys, usually after artists, and Jenny names the girls, usually after writers. Telling the blacks and greys apart can be a challenge, particularly when they are all close to the same size, but even from a few days old, their personalities are very different. Some are independent and curious, while others can be shy. And some, like our foundation female, Rossetti, love to run and pronk and cause mischief in the fields. We just sit back and enjoy every minute of it.
