Carrera is a jet-black female bred from two very fine greys. Her dam, Caress, from Alpacas de la Patagonia, is an import from Chile with very soft, light silver-grey fleece. At the age of 2.5 years, her histogram was 18.5m/4.1sd/22.2cv/1.7%>30. Carrera's sire is the exotic Neruda, also from Alpacas de la Patagonia, and, like him, her fleece is very soft. Neruda's histogram at the age of 2.5 years was 17.4m/3.6sd/20.5cv/0.7%>30.
Carrera's fleece is excellent, very fine, soft and crimpy. She has produced two true black females in a row for us, one out of Nishio, the herdsire that has sired most of Patagonia's show string, and one out of Aussie Rockford, a fantastic part Accoyo grey.
She has now been confirmed pregnant with a breeding to Lennox, one of the country's top colored herdsires. This is a fabulous deal and FAR LESS than we paid to purchase her when she was unproven! And it includes a breeding worth $4,000.
She will also sell with a free rebreeding to any of our herdsires.
