Salvador hails from two champion bloodlines and is half brother to the famous Orlando Cloud. His sire is Pacific Crest's Caligula's Excalibur, who took the blue ribbon at 2003 AOBA Nationals. Salvador's dam is Carmen Cloud, who won blue ribbons in halter and fleece and comes from Emerald Farm's famous silver grey Cloud line. Combined, Salvador can add tremendous improvement and elite fleece characteristics to your dams with the ability to throw color, including GREY!
The judges have agreed, giving Salvador a Reserve Championship, blue ribbon and two red ribbons at extremely competitive shows. In awarding him a Reserve Championship over Beige/Light Fawn, Judge David Barboza commented that he has one of the "most dense and consistently organized fleeces across his blanket" that he had seen throughout the entire show, with excellent staple and character. At AOBA Nationals 2008, Salvador took a 6th place among the country's top light fawn yearling males from the best breeding programs (including ones that focus on lights). Mike Safley complimented him on the architecture of his fleece and what "a lot of fleece" he is carrying. Charlene Friedman and Cathy Merkeley also placed him 2nd in classes of 11 and 14 at AWE and Alpacapalooza (the 1st places both times went on to win 1st and 2nd at AOBA Nationals).
